Korean Quilt Festival- Seoul
You amazing quilters out there! I did a thing! I went to the Seoul Quilt Festival in Korea by myself last week and saw some amazing art and met some great people.
Quilting is not as popular here in Korea as it is in the States, Australia, or even Europe. But, what they do is fantastic. There were a few different sections of the show including a popular vote where you could pick your favorite. What was the prize? no idea. None at all....
Then, there was a whole section labeled "Furs, Feathers, and Fins." And some of this art work... It definitely got my brain tickling with tons of new ideas!
There were some booths from famous Korean artists as well. I cannot imagine the amount of patience and work that went into some of these creative pieces. Can you?
There were also several booth selling notions, kits, fabrics, and other sewing related items. I may have bought a few presents for my mother in law, and an item or two for myself. ;)
